SWAN darts star Ste Jones took victory in Earlestown Darts Summer League's Individual 501 Finals.
Jones defeated 16-year-old Dave Richards, of Griffin, 2-1 in the final after easing past Viaduct's Les Wilkie in the semi finals, while Richards overcame Earlestown Cons' Tony Mawdsley in his last four clash.
Last year's Winter League Division A darts champions Swan got out of jail to grab a 5-4 win against Old Crow on the first day of the new season.
Swan trailed 4-1 at half time, but D Smith, M Cain and P Smith were among the winners in their fightback.
Promoted side Viaduct A beat Vulcan Inn 5-4, Newton Social A defeated St Davids 6-3 and Millstone lost 5-4 against Cons, for whom F Spencer won in 14 darts.
Winter League newcomers Engine got off to a good start in Division B with a 6-3 triumph against Griffin, while Bridge Inn beat Newton Social B 5-3 and Wellington overcame Houghton Arms 6-3.
Summer League champions Newmarket came from 3-0 down to win 5-4 against Chapel House, while Railway secured a fine 6-3 win against Sunbeam.
In Division A of the dominoes league, last year's champions Newton Social A were hammered 4-1 at home by St Davids. Viaduct ran out 4-1 winners against Vulcan Inn, while Newmarket thrashed Chapel House 5-0 in Division B.
Railway began with a 3-2 win against Sunbeam, Griffin defeated Engine 3-2, Bridge Inn eased past Newton Social B 4-1 and Houghton Arms beat Wellington 4-1.
