EDDIE Harris is not worried about previous form as his Warrington Wizards side prepare for their trip to St Albans Centurions in the semi finals of the play-offs on Saturday.

Wizards, who defeated Sheffield Hillsborough Hawks 48-12 at Wilderspool at the weekend to progress into the next round of the play-offs, narrowly lost both of their meetings with third-placed St Albans during the regular league season but Harris thinks that counts for nothing now.

He said: "We were unlucky to lose both of our league encounters, but those games will have no bearing on this one whatsoever.

"It is all about performing on the day, and I believe that we have enough quality in the team to get the right result. These are the types of games that tend to bring the best out of my players."

Harris will hope stand off Alan Kilshaw can recover from an ankle problem in time to play but otherwise Wizards have no injury worries as they bid to earn a trip to Bradford Dudley Hill or Bramley in the eliminator.

Despite the comfortable scoreline, Wizards had to fight hard for their victory against Sheffield on Saturday, but took the lead when Craig Harris put Jamie Clarke over.

The visitors then gained the advantage with two tries, but Wizards responded by rattling up 42 unanswered points to secure their passage to the semi finals.

Lee Rushton crossed before Harris sent Jon Cole over, and Wizards were 22-12 up at half time after Rushton set up Matt Taylor for another try.

Chris Mellor's break saw the home side extend their advantage after the interval, and Ian Stephenson, Iain Fowler, Australian winger Ryan Simpson and Paul Berry also touched down to give the final score a convincing feel.

Wizards: Mark Roughneen; Ian Stephenson, Paul Berry, Jon Cole, Ryan Simpson; Alan Kilshaw, Craig Harris; Clint Rylance, Steven Smythe, Neil Smith, Jamie Clarke, Matt Taylor, Chris Mellor. Subs: Lee Rushton, Luke Worsley, Iain Fowler, Dave Kelly.
