CHILDREN from Long Lane Primary School embarked on a continental shopping trip with a difference to show off their impeccable language skills.
The pupils, from years four, five and six enjoyed a taste of France just by stepping into their neighbouring county and visiting Standish High School, in Lancashire.
The high school has created an authentic French street and the children from Long Lane took along their French shopping lists and purchased traditional groceries.
The pupils also filled in passports, bought ice cream and watched an episode of The Simpsons, all in French, of course.
