of success for garden
THE summer opening of Grappenhall Heys Walled Garden has been declared a success.
And now members of Grappenhall and Thelwall Parish Council are considering plans to appoint a visitor steward to work around 10 hours a week on a temporary basis.
This year's openings, which were held on weekends during the summer, were made possible by volunteers acting as stewards.
The garden dates back to the Victorian era.
