DEAN Gaskell has revealed he is considering a number of offers for next year but the chance of a position switch could sway his decision.
The 22-year-old Wiganer was told recently that his Wolves contract would not be renewed at the end of the season, leaving him to search for pastures new for 2006.
Opportunities to stay in Super League have already arisen but Gaskell says his choice of club will not simply boil down to what league they play in.
He said: "I'm talking to other clubs and seeing what they have to offer, but I don't know where I'm going yet and I'm going to wait until a lot of clubs come in and when the time's right.
"There have been offers from Super League clubs, but I might go for a National League club because of the fact that I can play somewhere else.
"I don't just want to be known as a winger, I can play full back as well, and I just want to get involved.
"I've not had much ball this season and in the full back position, where Brent Grose is, you can dictate where you get the ball."
Injuries and a lack of try-scoring opportunities - his only try of the season came minutes before a groin tear that has ruled him out ever since - have been sources of frustration in 2005 for Gaskell.
He must have been looking on with envy at Hull, where Chris Bridge was as involved as any left winger this season, and is still hoping to shake off his injury worries to make a farewell appearance, and maybe prove a point, before the season is over.
"The injury's still niggling a bit, but I'm desperate to get back, although selection's not in my hands," he said.
"I was disappointed not to get a contract, because I love the club and I like it here.
"I wouldn't say I'm a victim of the club's progress, because I think I'm as good as the people that are being brought in - it's just down to the fact that I've not had a good season.
"But it's been wonderful here, I wish the club all the best for the future and I hope I'll be scoring against them or even coming back to the club one day - you never know."
