ONE may be better known for a little yellow puppet, but a new duo is set to make a noise in the pubs of south Warrington.
Peter Corbett, who rose to fame with Sooty as TV presenter Matthew, now lives in Lymm and for the next few weeks, he will be dueting in pubs across Warrington with partner John Gray.
And he will be swapping a puppet for a guitar as the duo plays rock and roll hits.
Peter says it is ironic that, after years of performing in front of thousands at venues such as The Royal Albert Hall, he is now performing for the love of it in small pubs.
He added: "We perform music that everyone would want to sing after a couple of pints.
"This is not really a comeback because I am not doing what I used to do."
He is performing alongside John Gray, a keyboard player from Hale.
