Bala (Gwynedd) was the venue for members on Sunday, September 18.

Llidiart was the starting point for the A party, led by Peter Voas, who began by climbing initially on a bridleway before ascending to the summit of Moelfferna and then continued over moorland to Pen Bwlch, Llandrillo, and then down to the memorial stone at Bwlch, Llandrillo. It was then up again to Cadair Bronwen, north east top, Cadair Bronwen, Cadair Berwyn, Cadair Berwyn new top and Moel Sych. From Moel Sych, the group made their way to the finish in Llandrillo via Cadair, Berwyn-Foel F Awr-Pennant and Cwm Tywyll, for a total of 14.5 miles.

The B party, led by Ken Cork, started their walk at Sarnau Gongin, a north west direction to Pentre-Tai-Yn-Y-Cwm, and then on to Foal Coch. From there the party went to Penmaenmawr, and after dropping down out of the hills joined the river and followed it back to Bala for a distance of 10.5 miles.

The D party walk was jointly led by Peter Hathaway, Lucy Fitzsimmons, Chris Roxby and Liz Berry. Starting at the Heritage Centre and going to Frondderw, Pentre, Dutdog, Llanerch Las, Little Bala, Ty Hen, Gwern Feistrol, Pridd-Y-Foel, Moel-Y-Garnedd, Penlan, Frondderw and finally to the finish for a total of eight miles.
