NICK Latham's goal was enough for Britannia to progress to the second round of Warrington Sunday Soccer League's Red Lion Cup as they defeated Wolf Pack 1-0.

Goals from Phil Whitehead, David J Roberts and a Paul Baker penalty helped Callands ease past 10-man Culcheth 3-0 in Division One, while Danny Paget and Tom Goodall scored as Monk Sports drew 2-2 with Saracens Head, for whom Neil Wright and Richard Hill found the net.

In Division Two, John Smith and Dave Taylor scored in General Electronique's 2-2 draw with Norton Arms, whose goals came through Phil Brake and an own goal.

Rams Head overcame Turf and Feather 2-1 thanks to strikes from Ryan Taylor and Gaz Smith, while goals from Peter Clarke and Mark Clarke were not enough to prevent The Original Wire from letting slip a 2-0 lead in their 4-2 defeat against FC Briden.

Ross Jenkins and Phil Wainwright were on target as Middleton edged past Sandymoor AFC 2-1 in Division Three, while Paul Holt, James McKay and Martin Starkey all grabbed braces as Latchford Rovers thrashed Inter Mivan 7-2, with Ashley Hennessy also on the scoresheet.

Matt Hewitt completed a hat-trick and Lee McDermott converted a 30-yard free kick in Grappenhall AFC's 4-1 win against Oakwood in Division Four, while Dave Critchley and Chris Clayton scored as Polar Ford defeated Woodies 2-1.
