A 23-YEAR-OLD man is recovering in hospital after being seriously assaulted in a street in Widnes.
The victim was kicked repeatedly in the attack in Ross Street by an unknown group of males, which left him with head injuries and concussion. The offenders then left the scene in a black car.
Police are hunting three men in connection with the incident, which took place at around 1.15am on Sunday, September 11.
The offenders have been described as, firstly, a white male, around six feet tall, of slim build with short cropped light brown hair, which was slightly longer on top. He was wearing a white t-shirt and spoke with a local accent.
The second male was white, aged 19-23, approximately six feet tall, of slim build and was wearing a dark-coloured top and jeans.
The third man, who is believed to have been the driver, was white, in his early to mid 20s, of stocky build, around 5 ft 8ins tall and had very short cropped blond fair hair and a round face. He was wearing a black t-shirt and black trousers and also spoke with a local accent.
