A MAN has pleaded guilty to fracturing another man's skull in a 'scuffle' in Middlewich.
Jeremy Paul Keating, 22, of Platt Lane, Sandbach, appeared at Chester Crown Court charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm and driving while disqualified and uninsured. He admitted both charges.
The charges relate to an incident in Wheelock Street on May 15 this year when Mark Towers was seriously injured.
Prosecuting, Myles Wilson told the court: "The injuries are serious, but the victim cannot recall the incident. It is difficult to prove that the defendant intended to cause the injuries.
"He told police in interview that he had been involved in the scuffle and had gone over the top."
Keating was given bail on the conditions that he does not contact prosecution witnesses and does not enter the town centre. He will be sentenced on October 14.
