WINSFORD will be welcoming a special guest this week when Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Gloucester visits the town.
The duchess will be attending a ceremony tomorrow, Thursday, to open a memorial garden at Cheshire Police headquarters dedicated to officers and staff who have died in service.
Peter Nurse, chairman of the police authority, said: "We are delighted that Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Gloucester has agreed to attend this dedication service.
"The garden will provide a place where staff can take a moment's break from their busy schedules and enable them to reflect on the dedication of their former colleagues."
