THREE more people have been banned from pubs covered by the Northwich and District Pub Watch scheme.
There are now 24 people, including four women, barred under the scheme.
In the latest incidents, a Barnton man in his mid-40s was excluded for using violent and abusive behaviour towards staff at the Beech Tree pub.
And a man and woman, both in their mid-30s and from Northwich, were barred following a violent incident in the Witton Chimes at the end of last month.
Pub Watch chairman Jerry Hart said: "Members agreed the behaviour of these people fell below the acceptable standard and a 12-month ban has been made against all of them.
"People should be able to visit our pubs without having to put up with violent, aggressive or threatening behaviour. I hope these bans send out that message loud and clear."
Pub Watch membership is now stronger than ever, with 28 premises signed up.
All are equally dedicated to making their premises safe, friendly venues for the scores of supportive, law-abiding, customers who visit them.
Jerry added: "People who come into the town centre and cause problems not only risk being excluded from a night on the town.
"They also risk being excluded from their local pub which can have even more of an impact on their social life.
"Hopefully, the thought of this will make the minority of troublemakers think twice about their behaviour."
