AN 18-year-old Liverpool man charged with possession of Class A drugs will have his case heard at Chester Crown Court.
Thomas Allan, of Brae Street, Wavertree, was arrested after police swooped on a silver Ford Focus in Winnington on September 2 following a surveillance operation.
They recovered a quantity of diamorphine and crack cocaine from the vehicle with a street value of more than £1,000 and a money bag containing a substantial amount of cash.
Now the defendant has been remanded in custody until his October 24 appearance.
Northwich Magistrates' Court chairman of the bench Bob Holt said on Monday that the court did not have the sufficent powers to deal with the case and adjourned it to crown court.
He said the value of the drugs found and the arrest of a 14-year-old Barnton girl on the same charges, who was in the vehicle at the time of the swoop, were aggravating features.
The schoolgirl will also appear on the same day.
