AN Appleton woman's artwork was voted the most popular at an exhibition in Tatton Park.
Shirley Cock, who is a member of the Warrington Art Group won the Warrington Guardian's Trophy for the People's Choice competition with her painting, Sunbeam Across The Old Gate.
Votes were cast by visitors to the Warrington Art Group exhibition, which attracted almost 2,000 people during its two week run.
Mrs Cock said: "I was surprised but delighted to won. I enjoy painting and am inspired by nature, especially flowers and garden scenes."
Members of Warrington Art Group are exhibiting at two further exhibitions this year. The first is in the Warrington market between October 8 and 15 and the second is at Grappenhall Library, from November 12 to December 10.
The Art Group meets on every second Monday evening throughout the Autumn and Winter at the Grappenhall Youth and Community centre.
