VILLA took the lead after half an hour when Paul McCunnell shot home from a near post corner. Boro equalised almost immediately but McCunnell's second gave Villa the half-time advantage.
In the second period bad Villa marking gave Boro an equaliser. Substitute Ste Quirk's first touch gave Paul Tillett the opportunity to finish from 20 yards.Tony Durr's goal line tap-in ended the contest.

CRONTON gained the upper hand in the second half and opened their account after 65 minutes when Kev Gould ended an excellent move by chipping the keeper.
Eagle equalised from a corner. Another defensive lapse five minutes from time gave Eagle the lead.

Cronton Villa Reserves play the first home game of the season on their new pitch at Birchfield Sports & Social Club this weekend.
