Leisure League
THIS week in the Widnes six-a-side Leisure League we saw the usual array of goals and skills on show.
As Looprevil did not play this week, the top of the Premier is very tight.
Zante closed the gap on the leaders as they cruised to a 5-2 win over Mean Machine.
Old Un Villa remain in third spot despite being murdered 10-1 by the appropriately named Hammered FC.
Mark Stanton was inspirational in the win for sixth placed Hammered.
The other game in this one saw Random Allstars overcome a stubborn Barchester side 5-2 to record their first win of the season.
Chris Woodward was outstanding for Allstars who will be hoping for a few more victories to lift them off the bottom.
Halton Boys now top the first division, as Norfolk did not play this week.
Boys recorded a solid 5-2 win over Bugle FC to move one point clear of their nearest rivals. Cutting Edge remains one point behind after they also won 5-2 against a stubborn FCUK outfit.
The last game on saw The Hammers enjoy an easy 5-0 win which still leaves them bottom but will give them hope for the remaining games.
