PLANS for a giant employment park took another step forward this week when a report on the transport implications of the development was submitted.
At a meeting of the borough council's Omega steering group on Tuesday, developers submitted a strategic transport model which will now be considered by council officers, their own consultants and the Highways Agency before the proposals go to the Development Control Committee.
Portfolio holder, Clr Terry O'Neill said the council could be making a decision on the proposals as early as December.
He said: "The developers have now submitted the strategic transport model which has looked at the impact of the traffic implications. Our officers and consultants have now to see whether they agree with what is said or whether more needs to be done.
"The developers are hoping the application will be ready to be considered by the development control committee by the end of the year. But, that may be a little optimistic, perhaps possibly early next year."
