A SECOND vehicle was shot during last week's attack on Kingsway South, it has been revealed.

A car also had its window blasted out with an air rifle minutes after a bus had suffered the same fate.

Ada Ocego, and her partner Anthony Sargeant, were in the car when it was targeted from the direction of Kinsgway House, Westy.

The 61-year-old, from Orange Grove, Orford, said the rear quarter window of her car was shattered at around 10.45am.

Around 20 minutes earlier, a Fairbrothers Coaches bus had been shot from the same place.

The police were called by the bus company but misunderstandings meant it was more than three hours later that armed police searched the flats.

Lorraine Franklin, the bus company's managing director, was upset that another vehicle had been hit despite her emergency calls.

She said: "I feel sorry for the police on the scene because they can only go on what they are told."

A Cheshire police spokesman said: "On initial information we did not know a firearm was involved. When it was looked into further and different information came in, that's when it was known a firearm was involved."
