BANK Quay Bulls' second string gained their first win in North West Counties Division Six as they came from behind to defeat Golborne Parkside.
Parkside went ahead with a converted try, but John Barry pulled back four points for Bulls.
Dean Braddish then converted after the impressive Lee Westwood had forced his way over, and Bank Quay held a 14-6 advantage at half time thanks to Wayne Shaw's effort.
Golborne hit back with 14 points at the start of the second half but Dean Braddish then crossed for a converted try between the posts.
Bryan Cragg powered his way over in the corner and Braddish crossed again to confirm Bulls' victory.
Bulls' A team host Southport at Longshaw Street on Saturday, kick-off 2.30pm.
* The first team were not in action at the weekend after Lancashire Cup first round opponents Shaw Rhinos were unable to raise a team.
Bank Quay were awarded the tie and will now travel to Haresfinch in the second round on September 24. Bulls make the trip to Bold Miners in the Premier Division on Saturday, kick-off 2.30pm.
