ROOKIE forward Andy Bracek is hoping to play a part in a victory at Hull that would guarantee Wolves a third or fourth-place finish and another home fixture next weekend.

The 18-year-old, who received a late call into the team against Leeds following the withdrawals of regular forwards Ben Westwood, Mike Wainwright and Mark Hilton, said: "We're pretty confident we can finish in third spot, especially with a magician like Andrew Johns playing in our team.

"I think the fans would really get a buzz off playing a home game in the play-offs and it would definitely be another sell-out.

"As for the Hull game, it would be an awesome experience for me to play alongside Johns again. I feel as though I gave my all against Leeds but much will depend on the injuries among the senior players and it is up to the coaching staff whether they pick me or not."

It was Bracek's best first-team performance of his relatively short career so far and he will never forget the night he lined up alongside Johns as the Australian legend made his debut in Wolves colours.

The Lancashire and England Academy star said: "Saturday was awesome, absolutely awesome.

"Up until Thursday lunchtime I was due to be playing with the under 21s in their play-off game at Bradford on Thursday night.

"I received a phone call after a few lads had dropped out at training and it left me with an opportunity. I was excited and jumping for joy at the chance to play in the game because I knew we had a great chance to beat Leeds with the side that we have, and with Johns playing.

"Johns was a magician on the field and we adapted really well to his style of play.

"This is my rookie season and to play with a player like Johns is massive for me. It made me feel 10-feet tall playing alongisde him and he'll help me to kick on to better things."
