SPECTATORS were treated to a goal-fest at Penketh High School on Saturday as Garswood came back from an early deficit to beat Eagle 7-3 in Warrington Junior Soccer League Under 11s Division Three.

Kofe Durkin-Brown put Eagle ahead from the penalty spot after a handball in the box.

Eagle were the better side in the opening exchanges and Durkin-Brown made it 2-0 with a curling shot that went in off the underside of the bar.

Just as it seemed Eagle were going to run away with things, Garswood hit back with three strikes in seven minutes and added two more before the break with Ben Convey completing a hat-trick.

Garswood gained a sixth goal from the penalty spot before Oliver Rowles replied with a tremendous right-foot half-volley from outside of the area.

Garswood sealed their win seconds from time with a goal from Jonathan Glover.

Meanwhile, Matthiola under 10s opened their season by overcoming a gutsy Fife side 2-0.

After dominating the game from start to finish, the home side settled for a 2-0 win thanks to a well-taken brace by Liam Turner.
