A SENSITIVE, fun-loving man who doted on his family. That's how a heartbroken family described their brother, Leonard Dwyer, aged 24, killed last week, in a motorway crash.

"He doted on all his nieces and nephews," said his brother, Andrew, aged 31, of Somerville Road, Widnes. "They loved him. He was a kid himself."

Leonard, known affectionately as Len, lived with his wife, Mel, aged 20, and 17-month-old son, Spencer, in Navigation Close, Murdishaw, Runcorn. He worked at Warrington's United Utilities.

He died after being hit by several cars as he tried to cross the M62, in the early hours of Saturday, September 3, near Rainhill Stoops.

His family still do not know how the incident happened.

Andrew said: "I spoke to him an hour before he died, he rang me on his mobile. He was sound, in good humour.

"He wasn't drunk and said he was going to call his sisters."
