PLANS are understood to have been submitted to demolish a pair of derelict detached houses in Liverpool Road, Penketh.
The homes, situated by Sankey Police Station, are currently boarded up and in a state of disrepair.
One resident said: "It's a bit of an eyesore. Everyone mentions it. They did plan to build two homes there but it was refused."
Another nearby resident said new plans to replace the properties with a detached home had just been submitted.
She said: "It is a bit of a mess but as long as something is going to done that's alright. And the sooner they do something the better."
