IT was cream teas and Pimms all the way as nobility in Appleton Thorn hosted a charity garden party.
Viscount and Viscountess Ashbrook held the event at Arley Hall, near Appleton Thorn, for 35 people from the Motor Neurone Disease Association, many of whom suffer from the debilitating disease.
The aristocratic pair gave up their time last week to show visitors around the stately home gardens.
Joan Park, chairman of the Cheshire branch of the MND Association, said: "We propose a vote of thanks to the hosts after a sumptuous tea which was served after the tour and inviting us to spend the day at their home."
