THERE were first day nerves all round at Wimboldsley Primary School for staff and pupils alike.
As teachers welcomed the new pupil intake last week there was another new starter at the school in the shape of new headteacher Mike Blousfield.
Mr Blousfield has taken the helm of the school, in Nantwich Road, and says he is looking forward to the challenge of his first headship.
And the former deputy head at Hartford Manor Primary School is already singing the school's praises.
He said: "I'm really impressed with the enthusiasm everybody has for this school. It's a beautiful setting and the people are absolutely wonderful.
"As well as a high academic achievement, ensuring that leaning is fun and that the children are confident and independent has always been a priority here and I certainly hope to build on that. I will still be maintaining a teaching role so hopefully I won't miss out on all the fun."
