WINSFORD'S Fame Factory has undergone a major revamp and as well as boasting a state-of-the-art theatre space the company has changed its name to suit its new image.
Now known as the Factory Academy of Performing Arts, the company presents a line of fresh teaching talent and has some exciting projects in the pipeline for the season ahead.
Ali Burrows is the new GSMD trained singing teacher and has worked on popular TV shows Phoenix Nights and Holby City, as well as several performances at theatres such as the West Yorkshire Playhouse and Bolton Octagon.
New resident acting teacher Mike McConnell has worked extensively in television after several years living in Paris, where he sang and toured France with his successful rock band.
Forthcoming shows, which will be performed at Davenham and Sandiway Theatre, include Moonfleece, Guys and Dolls and The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.
The group will also be producing a 60-second Shakespeare film for the BBC on the strength of its recent version of the Shakespearian tragedy Macbeth.
The Factory Academy of Performing Arts is always happy to welcome new students and for more information about the group, which is aimed at six to 16-year-olds, contact Richard Ellis on 07903 655053.
