Cronton Villa 4
Culcheth SC 1
CRONTON Villa entertained Culcheth at their new home at Birchfield Sports Club.
The pitch was in fantastic condition for Villa's opening home game.
In a free flowing opening 20 minutes both sides had chances and Villa opened the scoring with Craig Price's left foot drive.
Culcheth gained a deserved equaliser which was immediately cancelled out when Paul Tillett's far post header finished off a great move and a pin point cross from McCunnell.
The second half was one-way traffic with Villa increasingly dominant.
Although Culcheth worked hard the constant pressure had to tell and skipper Tom O'Hanlon made the game safe with a crashing volley.
Price notched his second and Cronton's fourth in the dying minutes.
B&L Cleaning Services man of the match award went to Jeff Bell.
Cronton Villa FC are away to Halton Borough FC for this weekend's derby match and the reserves travel to Thornton Road, Great Sankey to take on Eagle Sports FC. Games kick-off at 3pm.
