Leeds Rhinos 20
Widnes Vikings 30
HAVING won at Headingley only a few weeks previously, the Vikings proved it was no fluke by repeating the dose.
Lethal centre Darren Woods came up with a pair of touchdowns, and Martin Ainscough, Phil Woods and Mike Morrison all touched down for Paul Crook to land five goals despite soaking conditions.
Leeds trailed by the margin of a converted try at the break, and hit back strongly though the visitors always held the whip hand.
Substitutes Joe Walsh and Mike Ratu pepped up the Rhinos attack and each scored a try, Ashley Gibson and Matt Gardner all going over for Gibson to land a couple of goals but the Widnes defence held out when it had to.
The attack took its chances well and the Vikings marched decisively into the grand final.
