A MIDDLEWICH youngster who came up with a catchy name for a youth event saw his designs made reality after winning a competition.
Hugo Newell, of Dexter Way, took part in a competition to name the forthcoming Middlewich youth celebration day and the clever teenager came up with the name BLAST - Bringing Leisure and Skills Together.
And for his efforts Hugo, 15, and fellow entrants Alice Worthington and Steven Almond, got the chance to work with graphic designer Steven Millard, from Grove Creative, on the final poster to promote the September 24 event.
Ceri Edwards, from Microchips, said: "The idea is to promote what's out there for young people in Middlewich and to celebrate young people."
The groups participating in the event, including Microchips, Middlewich Vision, Congleton Borough Council, the Wych Centre and Amplifier, among others, have also provided funding for a skate park, fun fair rides and a henna tattooist.
