YOUNG drivers are being targeted by a ground breaking new partnership.
The Warrington Road Safety Network will look to cut the number of road accidents and teenage motorists and motorcyclists are a key priority.
Accident investigator Sgt Mike Jones of Warrington police, said: "The main area we will be looking at is young motorists and cyclists because they are most at risk.
"If you can catch them at an early stage, then good driving will stay with them for the rest of their lives."
The partnership is an innovative one because it does not just bring together the usual suspects for the bi-monthly meetings, like the emergency services and the borough council, but also groups like Warrington Driving Instructors Association, the Institute of Advanced Motorists and Warrington Cycle Campaign.
Sgt Jones added: "It will be good because the different groups will have a different perspective."
