A GROUP of Winsford parents have gone back to school to help their children improve their literacy skills.

Greenfields County Primary School is running a 12-week family literacy course, in conjunction with Mid-Cheshire College.

The course involves parents of Key Stage One pupils going in to school one day a week to work alongside a college tutor who gives them tips on how they can best help their child's development.

Greenfields teacher Janice Massey said: "We're in the fourth week of the course now, and it's going very well.

"The children and parents are all finding it beneficial and very enjoyable."
