AN appeal has been made by a Winsford woman for people in the town to help piece together her family history.
Mary Curry (nee Dodd) of Dingle Lane, is trying to locate a number of distant relatives. She has already accumulated considerable information which she is prepared to pass on.
But she is now looking for information on the following people and would like to hear from descendants or those who know of their whereabouts:
John and Sarah Dodd, Darnhall Smithy, early 1800s
James and Henrietta Dodd, Smithy of Swanlow then later Ways Green and Weaver Street, mid to late 1800s
Charles Kaye (1852-1921), butchers and livery stable at 190 and 192 High Street
Samuel Siddorn (born 1801) and John and Mary Siddorn (born 1834) farmers at Library Farm in what is now Siddorn Street.
She is also interested in the Smithy in Wettenhall, Darnhall and Swanlow and the life of a blacksmith in the 17 and 1800s.
She can be contacted at Braemar, Dingle Lane, Winsford, CW7 1AA.
