THE award-winning Fulcrum Theatre Group, of Middlewich, is in its final stages of rehearsal for an hilariously funny play - Relatively Speaking.

This comedy by Alan Ayckbourn is to be presented on February 18-21, at 7.45pm, and is said to be one of his funniest.

It tells of two couples - Ginny and Greg and Sheila and Philip. Misunderstandings arise when they meet and they jump to all the wrong conclusions about one another.

Is Ginny Philip's secretary, his lover or his daughter? Is Greg having an affair with Sheila or is she his future mother-in-law? Confused?

The play will reveal all, or will it?

When a pair of men's slippers appears in the final stages of the play, suddenly there is even more uncertainty.

The cast of four is Kathie McDean, Mark Scott, Helen Rubery and Keith Hindley. The director is John Powell.

Tickets for the performance can be bought from Powells Menswear Shop in Wheelock Street, Middlewich, at £3 on the first night and £3.50 on other nights.
