WE seem to be missing the point with the gipsy holiday camp.
This site is in the green belt band and was set up without planning permission.
Many people are concerned about the secretary of state's decision to allow them to get away with it for another four years.
Why should they win? If everybody took their attitude and lived in a caravan, what state would the country be in?
They want the amenities but don't want to pay for them. No wonder they have immaculate caravans and £36,000 off-roaders!
As for the site being concealed from the public view, I don't think the neighbouring houses would agree.
As for being in the same category as mobile homes, these people pay council taxes, Inland Revenue, insurance etc.
How long will it be before more camps are put up?
