I WAS born in Warrington in 1939 and lived here until 1959 wehn I went to work abroad.
I now live in Belgium but make frequent visits home to visit my mother.
The changes in the town centre have been good in many ways but I feel I must point out to you that barring access to Market Gate and the Town Centre has inconvenienced elderly people enormously.
I have questioned many people about this and have as yet to find one who agrees with the present arrangement.
How simple it was before for shoppers arriving at Market Gate to have a centre from which each shopping area was within easy walking distance.
Even riding on the bus into town I have heard adverse comments on the changed system.
I just thought this fact should be brought to your notice.
