BRIDGE Foot Amateur Boxing Club's debut tournament provided a packed Parr Hall crowd with 10 contests of explosive punching combined with fine boxing.

Biggest hit of the night came from Malc Tudor, aged 27 - Bridge Foot's undefeated welterweight prospect - who made it three wins out of three with a stunning second round knockout over Workington's D. Straughton.

Tony Rigg, aged 27, the club's other undefeated welterweight, won a unanimous points decision over Burscough's D. Potter in a bout that was awarded the contest of the evening.

Terry Johnson, aged 14, made it a hat-trick of wins for Bridge Foot and avenged himself for a previous defeat with a unanimous points decision over Workington's R. Straughton.

Heavyweight Malc Clayton, aged 26, was caught cold by Buxton's big punching Rick Hutchinson and suffered a first round defeat.
