AN appeal has gone out for witnesses to a violent incident in which one youth received a badly broken nose and his friend a fractured hand.
The two men, both aged 20 had been out in the town centre with two other friends when they were assaulted outside a kebab house in Barbauld Street.
Police say their attackers were a group of seven to eight males aged 18 to 20.
Anyone who witnessed the attack on Wednesday, January 21 between 11.30pm and midnight, or has any information is asked to phone D.C. Angela Burns on 01244-613835.
