ST Mary's RC Junior School is celebrating after coming top in Newton in the National Key Stage 2 examinations.
The school, on Barn Way, achieved an average of 83 per cent, with a 90 per cent pass rate in English, 74 per cent in Maths and 86 per cent in science.
Last week, it was incorrectly stated St Mary's had achieved an average of 77 per cent and a 66 per cent pass rate in science.
