WORK on the replacement of a derelict sewer means traffic diversions will be in operation around Froghall Lane for the next 10 weeks.
Froghall Lane has been made one-way eastbound between Allen Street and Bewsey Street. Traffic is being diverted via Tanners Lane, Pinners Brow, the A49 Lythgoes Lane and the A57 Midland Way or Bewsey Road, Lovely Lane and the A57.
Phase 2 will start in February. Froghall Lane will be closed between Allen Street and Arthur Street. Paul Street and Arthur Street will be closed five metres from their junctions with Froghall Lane.
Traffic wishing to gain access to Froghall Lane will be diverted via Bewsey Road.
Eastbound traffic and vehicles bound for Arthur Street and Paul Street from the west will be diverted via the A57 Midland Way and the A49 Lythgoes Lane, Haydock Street and Tanners Lane.
Westbound traffic will be diverted via the A49 Lythgoes Lane and the A57 Midland Way or by Bewsey Road and Lovely Lane.
