Bernard Moors, 54, played as left back for the club for three years, but sadly lost all his belongings in a fire at his family home in Congleton, on his 21st birthday, 33 years ago.

"I lost all my photographs in the fire which was after we played away to Oswestry one night," said Bernard.

"They were excellent days when I used to play.

"Although football in general seems to have got too monetary these days, I miss it a lot and really would like to show my nephews and nieces a team picture from when I played."

Bernard remembers many of the players - Keith Higgins, Malcolm Wagstaffe, Lennie Dickinson and manager of Witton and ex Manchester City player Ken Barnes.

If anyone can help him out please telephone Clare Lawrence at the Guardian on 01606 43333 or Malcolm on 01782 774090.
