STRIKER Paul James earned a league point for Knypersley Vics on Tuesday with a 61st minute equaliser at home to Willenhall Town.

His goal made it 2-2, and followed another draw for the Vics, this time 1-1, at home to Bridgnorth Town in the league on Saturday.

Vics' keeper Rob Powner completely missed a cross after just nine minutes of Tuesday night's match to see a Willenhall player head home.

However Nick Rafferty equalised for the Vics 11 minutes later with a free kick which took a deflection.

Willenhall took the lead again five minutes before half-time when Powner could only parry a shot, and Willenhall followed up to score.

James made it 2-2 with a clever lob as the keeper came off his line.

Dave Shallcross and Paul Martin, the latter making his debut, both hit the post for the Vics.

Ian Palin put Knypersley ahead on Saturday in the second minute when he picked his spot as the Bridgnorth keeper came to meet him.

However Bridgnorth replied six minutes later, firing home after Powner made a hash of a cross.
