ALSAGER won through to the second round of the Mid Cheshire Division Two Cup on Saturday with a convincing 3-0 victory.
Midfielder Dave Woodward put the away side ahead at Rylands in the 25th minute with a low drive after latching onto a cross.
Fellow midfielder Lee Bemoski made it two on the hour when he slotted the ball past the keeper at the end of a fine run.
And yet another Alsager midfielder, Mike Dean, added a third with 10 minutes left with a shot tucked away just inside the post.
Alsager keeper Chris Broomfield made an excellent penalty save to deny Rylands after only seven minutes, and Bemoski ballooned over the bar a penalty awarded to Alsager in the 85th minute.
