NORTH West Water have been criticised over plans to reduce their customer rebates.
Ofwat's North West Customer Services Committee is urging the water company to reconsider the reduction from £10 to £6.50, which is blamed on extra business costs and the effect of the Windfall Tax.
North West CSC Chairman, Maurice Terry, said: "I believe it is passing the burden of those effects directly on to the customer.
"They cannot seek their water and sewerage services from elsewhere, so they have no choice but to pay these charges."
