AVID Liverpool FC supporters now have the chance to re-live the magic of the glory years at Britain's newest football attraction.

The Reds recently unveiled their new visitor centre at Anfield and it is already proving a massive hit with Koppites.

The centre is packed with interactive displays, montages, cups, trophies and shirts worn by Liverpool stars over the years.

Pride of place goes to the 'birth certificate' that created Liverpool FC when former occupants Everton moved out in 1892.

The centre's displays re-create what it was like to stand on the Kop before it became all-seated and also harks back to the days of the legendary Bill Shankly with a re-creation of the 1965 home team dressing room as 'Shanks' prepared some of his star players for a home game.

You can also try your hand at being a television commentator and see how accurate your shooting is.

Any visit to the centre would not be complete without watching the 'This is Anfield' film which gives a fascinating insight into the massive effort that goes into preparing the stadium and all its facilities for match days.

Visitors can also tour the stadium including the real home team dressing room and touch the famous 'This is Anfield' plaque before stepping out into the stadium and taking your place in the managerial hot seat.

Visitor centre admission prices are £5 for adults and £3 concessions. Centre and stadium tour prices are £8 for adults and £5 concessions. Family and group discounts are available.

Liverpool FC advise anyone thinking of going on the tour to book in advance.

The booking hotline is 0151 260 6677.
