NORTH West Water customers in Winsford and Middlewich can now pay their bills free of charge at post offices in the two towns.

The water company has this week introduced a free bill paying service at post offices throughout the region.

The new service has been developed in response to customers' requests.

Previously, customers who chose to pay at a post office had to pay a fee of 35p, although a free bill paying service was offered at Nat West Bank branches.

North West Water's Bob Armstrong said: "We are continually looking at offering our customers greater flexibility and convenience when paying their bills."

Customers of ENERGi from Norweb can also now pay their electricity and gas bills free of charge at post offices in the region.
