BIG-HEARTED nursery nurse Sue Simpson is looking for help to put a smile on the face of a Romanian orphan this summer.

Coco, aged 10, pictured top left, is one of many Romanian children adandoned in orphanages following the revolution in her country.

She won the heart of Sue, from Herbert Street, Congleton, during a charity visit to Romania, and Sue is hoping to bring Coco over to England for a holiday.

"Coco and the other little children are happy together, but have so little,'' said Sue, who works in the special baby care unit at Macclesfield Hospital.

"She has always been special to me, and I know she would love it here.''

Sue is pictured with Romanian charity worker Monica Lazar, who she wants Coco to accompany to Macclesfield this summer.

"Coco needs someone who speaks English as well as Romanian and is a familiar face,'' said Sue.

"My mum and I are going to pay Coco's fare, but it would be nice if we could get someone to pay the £240 needed for Monica.''

Sue has visited Coco and the other orphans 15 times since 1992, and is off again in April driving a van full of clothes and medical equipment to Romania.

She is asking firms and shops for children's knickers and underwear, anyone who can help can ring 276265. Photos supplied.
