THE rise in temperatures has brought the fish into feeding mode on the majority of Warrington Angling Association's fisheries.

Catches in excess of fifty roach are producing in the region of 10 to 15lbs at tiny Ackes Pit. Tench also spotted.

The carp and tench at Grey Mist Mere are feeding well. Rixton Clay Pits are producing some good roach catches to pole fished with maggot or caster.

Cicily Mill Pool has a massive hoard of hungry roach up to 8ozs. Big catches to both waggler and pole methods on either red maggot or caster.

Plenty of small grayling, odd quality roach, and chub to 5lbs are being caught on the River Derwent. Popular method is stick float and red or bronze maggot.

The river Mersey is definitely worth a visit and producing some good roach, gudgeon, dace, and small chub.

HQ Parker Street is open tonight as usual 7 to 9-30pm for new members, etc or simply drop in for a chat. I can be contacted on 01928 716238 with your queries or catch reports.
