ELWORTH suffered their first home defeat of the season as Caverswall won by five wickets with 10 balls to spare.
Batting first Elworth lost Robinson and Maynard to catches behind the wicket before Lee was out for 31 with the total on 59 in the 20th over.
Worse was to follow as Hole and Beech fell cheaply but Russ Cope and Roddy Lovell managed to rebuild the innings with a partnership of 60.
Ryan Hudson supervised the addition of a further 60 runs from the tail before he became Swnwick's fifth victim and a final total of 184 in the 59th over looked short of a really challenging figure with a fast outfield.
It looked even more inadequate when Lovell broke down and was unable to bowl more than 3 overs. Rob Beech took over and Caverswall were 75 for 3 at the start of the final 20 overs.
With 99 to get from the final 14 overs the Caverswall middle order let rip and only12 overs were needed to achieve victory with regular boundaries making the small Elworth ground look even smaller.
