FOOTBALL fans will not be the only ones to benefit if Crewe Alex charge to glory and finish in the top three of Division One this season.
Martin Robbins, of Crewe Alex, placed a £25 bet at Ladbrokes on the Alex to finish in the top three with a 27 points head start.
If the Alex are less than 27 points behind the winners then national charity Scope will receive £600 and even if Crewe finish 27 points behind the third in the league the charity still gets £130.
Scope is the adopted charity of Ladbrokes this year with staff raising money in all sorts of ways and the company match efforts pound for pound.
