A COMPANY providing care at home for the elderly and disabled in rural areas is set to expand after winning a county council contract.
Always There Home Care, based in Scope House, Crewe, has snapped up two of the territories allotted in a re-shuffle of contract care cover by Cheshire Social Services.
The move will reduce the number of companies involved. Following the redefining of the county earlier this year
"The idea has been to use one firm for each area, cutting costs and promoting efficiency," said Always There founder Carol Vickers.
"We have actually been awarded two of the areas which will cover around 340 square miles between Crewe and Chester. It is great news for us. We are delighted," she added.
The double contract means that the company she created in 1995 and which currently employs 30 can look forward to extending its workforce to around 100.
Carol, formerly an auxiliary nurse at Leighton Hospital, would like to hear from trained carers seeking a job. She can be reached on 252825.
